Kenya Employability skills development agency (KESDA) vision is to be a leading organization in the advancement of human development and its objective is to empower the youth by offering life, social and technical skills to achieve socio-economic independence and security.
The Kenya Vision 2030 Medium Term Plan is primarily based on Kenyan’s “Economic Recovery Strategy for wealth and Employment Creation” thus calling all Kenyans to participate in economic development activities, job creation, and embrace the notion of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) for the vision 2030.

OBJECTIVES
1.To place the unemployed youths into apprenticeships.
2.To assist the youth to acquire working skills and experience.
3.To promote youth voluntarism.
4.To empower the youths on leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
5.To harness the PPP potential for socio-economic development.

GOALS
To prepare and equip school leavers and the unemployed with practical working skills and experience that is required by employers, and further to transform the destiny of many youths who are unemployed and idle by empowering them to contribute to the Kenya vision 2030 as well as the Millennium Development Goals.
Benefits and expected outcome
1.The exposure of students into a real working experience gives them an early opportunity to decisive career choices and the preparedness of facing the real world after leaving school.
2.Students gain vital real working experience that beef up their curriculum vitae when they leave school and start job hunting.
3.The unemployed youth through the apprenticeships and voluntarism gain the chance to learn necessary working skills as well as show potential employers and others around them their capability.
4.Empowering youths into being self-reliant through self employment and creation of employment to others.
5.Energizing youths to meaningfully contribute to socio-economic development activities as active members of the community.
6.Bridging the gap between the job hunter and the employer by introducing the school leaver and the unemployed to their future potential employer.
